An Umbrella and A Friend

As we all know umbrellas are used during rainy and sunny seasons, just like a friend they always try to be by our side to protect us from unwanted things, to support us in achieving our goals and even to comfort us in our sorrowful moments. They always try not to leave us carrying our pains and sorrows alone. an umbrella is like a friend because it also protects and avoid us from getting wet from the rain or to be highly exposed from the heat of the sun yet sometimes a friend cannot do or handle all those things cause all of us have our own limitations, like an umbrella, sometimes it can only accompany two persons because of its own limited capacity. Even though umbrellas and friends have similarities, we cannot deny the fact that each of this comparison have their own uniqueness and their own uses. for example, a friend can always remain as a friend even for a lifetime but an umbrella will soon get useless and damaged when used all the while and cannot be there to comfort or even cheer you up from your downfalls and cannot make you laugh and smile when you're in pain. So, umbrellas and friends are two things with unique identities and roles in human lives.

This or That?

Me and my friends usually argued with what color do we have to prefer the most. It seems to be funny because even the kind of color we want, we argued. Sometimes it goes to the point that the argument we had is the reason for misunderstandings. That is why I chose this topic in order for us to gather comments and opinions regarding with what color do we have to prefer the most.

Half of us admires color green while the other half, including me, likes blue. It is the kind of colors we usually argued with, the blue and the green. The green team said that green should be the color we have to prefer because green is a background of nature. They also said that green should be the color we have to prefer because we are indeed a "City Highian." On the other hand, half of the group said that said that we have to prefer blue because blue is a shade of heaven. We also added that we have to prefer blue since we are fourth year students, then the color of our button is blue. Isn't it funny?

I don't know when will be the ending of this argument but as long as the friendship is still there, this argument is just our way of analyzing and defending things that even stuff and crazy things we argued. Nevertheless, green and blue are still the same because they are both colors and this so-called "argument" we had is just our way of appreciating the colorful things that God has created for us.

OLD FRIENDS AND NEW FRIENDS

We all have our own friends and I have my own too. But one question seems to bother my mind, why do friends come and go? Let me just share to you about my old and new friends. My old friends, they are my friends during my elementary days. At first, I really thought that we would still be friends till the end even if we're apart from each other but I was wrong. Losing them is really hard for me to accept. It makes me feel so empty and incomplete. I could really consider myself that time as a miserable one until five gorgeous young ladies came into my life, these are my new friends. Because of these gals, I learned how to laugh and smile again, to make funny jokes and share memorable things with them. They really gave me a brighter sunshine in my life to face a new beginning. Although my old and new friends have their similarities, they also have their differences. Both makes me happy and feel like I'm important to them. On the other hand, my new friends doesn't have the ideals of my old friends which I really missed. In spite of everything we've been through with my new friends for almost four years yet I still lack of it. The memories I had with my old friends still cannot be replaced of anything else. But I'm not saying that my new friends aren't important to me. In fact, I consider them as a very special gift for me. Its just I can't help or afford to forget my old friends after all. Those old friends who left me behind will always be a part of my life no matter what. My new friends will also be treasured and cherished forever because I also dont want to lose them like what happened to my old friends, Thus, I can say that there are no such no reasons to leave and forget the friendship we've made. Hence, its with ourselves to handle and take the friendship we have, longer than forever...
